Maruti Suzuki reports 7.8% yoy rise in production in December

Maruti Suzuki on Wednesday reported a 7.88% rise in production at 115,949 units in December 2019. The company had manufactured 107,478 units during the same period a year ago.

The carmaker had cut production over 8 times in FY20.

Production of compact segment cars (WagonR, Celerio, Ignis, Swift, Baleno and Dzire) stood at 62,448 units as against 44,329 units in December 2019, up 40.87%.

While the production of utility vehicles which includes Vitara Brezza, Ertiga, XL-6, S-Cross stood at 19,825 units as against as 16,436, up by 20.6%.

Maruti Suzuki reported a rise of 2.4% in domestic sales in December 2019. 

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd is currently trading at Rs7,017 down by Rs56.85 or 0.8% from its previous closing of Rs7,073.85 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs7,073.85 and has touched a high and low of Rs7,111.10 and Rs6,986.15 respectively. So far 5,90,772 (NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter. The current market cap of the company is Rs2,13,686.86cr.
