Cholamandalam Financial Holdings net profit up 5% at Rs430cr in Q3
Cholamandalam Financial Holdings reported an increase in net profit by 5% at Rs430cr for the quarter ended December 31 vs. a profit of Rs408.65cr in the year-ago period.

The total income of the company came in higher at Rs3,395.3cr in Q3FY20 vs. Rs2,954cr in the same period a year ago.

Cholamandalam MS General Insurance Company Ltd., a subsidiary in general insurance business, in which the Company holds about 60% stake, registered a Gross Written Premium (GWP) of Rs3,592cr during the nine months’ period ended December 2019 as against Rs3,209cr in December 2018, a growth of 12%.

The GWP for the quarter ended December 2019 was Rs1,204cr as against Rs1,155cr for the quarter ended December 2018. PBT for the nine months period year ended December 2019 was at Rs160cr as against Rs202cr in December 2018. 

For the quarter ended December 2019, the PBT was at Rs59cr as against Rs.127 Cr in December 2018.

Cholamandalam Financial Holdings Ltd is currently trading at Rs547, down by Rs5.9 or 1.07% from its previous closing of Rs552.90 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs551.70 and has touched a high and low of Rs558.60 and Rs541 respectively.
