
The Nifty IT stocks declined in Tuesday’s trade, with the index being down nearly 1% at 15,752 due to selling pressure seen in HCL Tech, Tata Elxsi and Tech Mahindra.
Shares of HCL Tech dropped 2% and are among the top losers on the Nifty IT index, followed by Tata Elxsi, Tech Mahindra, Mindtree and Wipro, which were also down by 1% each. TCS, Just Dial and Hexaware also declined in today’s trade.
India VIX down 3.1% at 11.58.
The top Nifty50 gainers include Yes Bank, which spiked over 3% followed by IndusInd Bank, ONGC, Zee and IOC, while the top loser is HCL Tech, Wipro, Reliance and UPL.
The most active stocks were Yes Bank, Indiabulls Housing, SBI and Reliance.
Meanwhile, the Sensex fell 30 points at 41,612 levels and the Nifty slipped marginally by 7 points at 12,257 levels.
